The first batch of Vietnamese star apples has been exported to the US by the Cat Tuong Agricultural Processing and Production Company Limited.

Tan Phuoc District of Tien Giang Province in Vietnam is a sparsely populated alkaline land of Dong Thap Muoi area with only wild Melaleuca forests. During two decades, people thought this land was only suited for planting pineapples and yams.
In the middle of 2005, firstly, Mr Sang- a son of the Southwestern region selected and tested to plant dragonfruit seeds here with 8 hectares. After 15 months, the first dragon fruits were harvested with the productivity achieved beyond expectation. The dragon fruit land of 8 hectares yielded approximately 400 tons each year.
Following that success, by the end of 2017, Cat Tuong Company had two more dragon fruit farms with a total area of nearly 100 hectares invested in drip irrigation technology and the process of taking care of dragon fruits following Global Gap standard with total production of about 4,000 tons per year.
Over many years of self-cultivation, caring, harvesting and selling dragon fruit, Mr Sang has been able to understand that the effort of dragon fruit famers and the value of dragon fruit and other fruits of Vietnam is still low. So, on November 10, 2015, Cat Tuong Agricultural Processing and Production Company Limited was established to find new markets for dragon fruits as well as other fruits of Vietnam.
To meet the needs of the market and customers, the company has also invested in a standard packing factory, a modern cold storage system with a capacity of 2,000 tons and a vapor heat treatment factory for fresh fruits. The packing house has been tested by US experts to supply fresh fruits to export markets such as USA, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, China…
In addition to expanding the agricultural material source, Cat Tuong Company is cooperating with cooperatives in and outside of Tien Giang province in the value chain of Vietnamese agricultural products to grow and consume other fruits and vegetables which are grown with safe technology standards, ensuring supply for domestic consumption and export markets.

Cat Tuong Agricultural Processing and Production Company tries to become one of the leading companies in terms of Vietnam’s fresh fruits and processed fruit products exports and will be the first choice of Importers in the world, as well as the supplier of Vietnamese fresh fruits and processed fruit products grown and produced with safe and clean technology standards. Company will be operating with constant innovation, customer- focus and public health.
In order to achieve like above, our company will always be creative, cooperate, renovate planting technology, post-harvest preservation technology, processing technology to provide the clean and safe agricultural products for the domestic and export market. We aim to the sustainable development, the responsibility of customers and society.
